Virgin Media Television now boasts a revolutionary end-to-end tapeless post-production and playout facility - The Creative Village - for its portfolio of channels, becoming the first entirely tapeless facility, ahead of all other networks and stations. It has been co-designed in partnership with Red Bee Media, who have been appointed technology partners to Virgin Media Television. The facility includes advanced visual and audio editing and broadcasting technology. Working with a new media management system designed specifically for The Creative Village using Red Bee Media's digital asset management system MOMS (Media Object Management System), the tapeless system allows a quick and reliable post-production process and enables production staff to gain rapid access to view, log, choose and edit stored material. As well as making Virgin Media Television a leading force in television production, the Creative Village, will improve availability and quality of content, allow easy implementation for new platforms and speed up all elements of quality television production.
