What do we expect from our programmes?
-
CREDIBILITY - Whether it is a person, an opinion, a situation or a historial event, our viewers expect us to tell it like it is. They want to believe what we are saying and our shows need to be authentic and credible in order to meet the expectations of our audience.
-
TALKING POINT SUBJECT MATTER - We want shows which men will talk about. We aren't looking for shows about men that only women would watch. Men are our key audience and we want to give them shows that make them think and laugh.
-
APPEAL - Programmes should appeal to a our core audience of 16 - 44 men, however Bravo does have a high percentage of shared viewing. Shows should be male skewed but not feel exclusive or a turn off for women.
-
HUMOUR AND WIT – Overall, Bravo shows are entertaining. They may be journalistic, but they always have light and shade. Any proposal should have humour and wit evident in it from the outset.
-
MAKE A NOISE IN THE SCHEDULE – We expect our shows to make a noise in the schedule. Bravo can capture a lot of EPG surfers if the content pulls you at whatever point you flick on to it. We also expect any Bravo show to be PR-able and make a splash in the press.
- SHELF LIFE – In the multi-channel world, shows can be played out several times a year and for years to come. Some of our most popular access peak shows have had more 100 airings. We need shows that don’t date and that viewers want to watch again and again.
